The shooting in the community forced residents to scamper for safety in nearby villages Some suspected gun wielding men are said to be shooting sporadically in Obokofia, in Ohaji/Egbema local government area of Imo state.
It was gathered that the gunmen started shooting sporadically in the air to scare residents of Obokofia away.
Although, having forced residents out of the community, no live was lost in the shooting by the gunmen in the area as the community members scampered for safety. Speaking on the matter, the spokesperson for the Imo state Police command, Orlando Ikeokwu, said he has not been briefed on the matter. Read more
